Go to an Acura dealer with the VIN number and have them check to be 100% certain.
If the previous owner had enough money/skill to drop a GSR engine into an LS Integra, then I’d realistically assume that he’d also have plenty of skill to make an LS look like a GSR cosmetically as well if he really wanted to. Dropping in a new motor and getting it to work is much more difficult than changing out interior parts or exterior badging to make it look like a GSR.
The dealer should easily be able to tell you whether the car was originally a GSR from the factory or whether it was an LS that the guy had modified to be like a GSR.

the 1st thing you can do is look under your hood, usually on the side of the engine check both sides it says the engine code if its says B17A then its a gsr..
another a couple of things that the gsr had was charcoal grey cloth interior, body colored trim and front lip, the third brake llight was mounted in the spoiler, sunroof, power everything it also came with 14 inch 6 spoke rims stock..

First thing is the engine would look like this
second you can tell by the VIN # if the 6th number in the VIN is a 4, its an RS, LS, SE, GS, 4 means that its a non-VTEC.
2 - GS-R/Type-R DOHC VTEC
7 - LS, GS sedan. Non-VTEC
8- GS-R sedan. DOHC VTEC

if the tacometer redlines at 8000rpms and the engine say Vtec on the valve cover. a vtec valve cover will not fit on a non-vtec head.

If it’s a 2 door then your vin should start with JH4DA6 I believe. the DA9’s are LS 2 doors.
