This program was pre-installed on my laptop and now I want to eliminate it. I´ve seen there´s an Uninstaller available however it doesnt remove it completely. When I try to start the procedure, it asks me to insert the Default CD.

After you do your normal uninstall through add/remove programs, download and run the Norton Removal Tool:

In XP; Start, search, type in “Norton”. When the search stops, right click and delete each item. ignore it if it says “cannot remove”. Then empty trash bin, keep doing the search until you come up with nothing. Then do the same typing in the word “symantec”. follow same procedure as above. after search shows neither Norton or Symantec, you should be rid of the program. It is a trerrible program and I will never ever use it again
