Motherboard for Server 2003?

I purchased the following to create an inexpensive server:

- Intel DQ35JO motherboard
- Intel Q6600 Core 2 Quad processor
- Corsair 4GB (x2) DDR2 RAM (PC2 6400)

So, after building it and installing Windows Server 2003, they do not support Win2K3 for any of the drivers. So, I need a new motherboard but want to use the memory and CPU.

Any recommendations of a desktop type motherboard that would fit the bill? It needs 5+ SATA ports, RAID support, and onboard graphics
preferred. I can always get a cheap add-on card though.

Preferrably something I can pickup at Fry’s or some place similar since time is short.

Thanks

  1. OZ Says:

geeks.com has a dual xeon motherboard with 2 - 2.8 xeon processors for around $125.00 You can check to see if the ram fits. You can sell your current setup and start over if you need to. They also have rack server cases for cheap too.
