Why is it I have to keep remaking copies of my XP Pro Install cd? There is no damage to the disk?
Wednesday, October 7th, 2009Unfortunately, I have other people at home use the computer and i constantly get spyware due to my two teenage nephews lookng at sites and not know what they are doing. Removing the spyware never is better then a fresh install. I don’t have any data on the HD that is important anyway since I use a External for all my data.
Anyway, every few times I use one of these Install CDs I burned, it will stop on a fiel during installation and tell me it cannot copy it. Now, I store these CDs in a temperature controlled house in a CD case at all times. No scratches or anything. What is the deal?
Cont’d….
I do not understand how the Windows XP Install process can find an error on one of these CDs. Now, I use one of the other CDs I burned and it works no problem for awhile bout after the 3rd install, it gets weird again.
Does this kid of thing happen all the time? I have to start to burn more Install CDs now because the original burns are becoming unreadable. This makes no sense.
ALSO, please dont tell me about virus software and such. I prefer a fresh install once in awhile. I don’t need tips on how to prevent a fresh install. I don’t mind the time it takes. Thanks.
