HELP! Intermittent Internet connection problem on Server 2003 based network?
Wednesday, October 7th, 2009This is a tough problem. I’ve got a large network here using Server 2003 as both DNS and DHCP servers. It has been working fine for months. However, as of late we’ve been seeing only some client computer losing connection to the Internet. What’s weird is they still have valid IP’s and they still have connection to the server itself. Also they appear to be resolving DNS when I ping an address (like Yahoo) However, there is just no return traffic. All the packets get lost
Meanwhile, the server itself never seems to lose Internet. Now, some people may have made changes to the server config awhile back to put in an Internet censor device. However, they took it out and claim they didn’t change anything. Any ideas of where I could start debugging this problem? THanks!
