how should i tie the ribbon on my dress?

i am wearing a black polka dot dress for h.s. graduation. but i have a quick question, the dress has a red ribbon around the waist area…

would this dress look good for my h.s. graduation? how should i tie the red sash?
p.s.-the two girls in the pics are not me, i just have their pics there cuz they are wearing the polka dot dress similar to mine’s. thanx!
