Any solution to installing Windows Service Pack 1 for Vista?

If I install Vista on my XP computer will it erase all my files or just transfer them to Vista?

I have a computer running Windows XP and I want 2 install Vista on it, but I have a lot of files I don’t want 2 lose. Does XP transfer the files up 2 Vista even if i install Vista on the same partition?

How can I get that animation effect from vista on XP?

I have Windows Blinds on my XP PC but I also want the window preview when you scroll over the minimized programs and when you minimize a window, the effect you get when it is dropped to the taskbar. Any help?

A dual monitor setup with one widescreen and one square monitor?

I run Vista on my computer and I am planning on getting a second monitor to have a dual monitor set up. I do web design and I thought it would be a good idea to have one wide and one standard monitor to see how web pages are layed out in both formats. However, is this something you can do? Will it cause a screwy resolution for the two together?

Can’t decide between XP Pro and Vista Basic?

My laptop came with Vista basic and I can’t decide between it and XP Pro which I have a retail copy of. Vista seems a bit slower but then Vista is the future, XP is the past. I really can’t decide which to keep, Help me out here???

How much is Windows server 2003 different than XP (specifically xp 64-bit)?

and If u`ve tried windows server 2008, how much is it different than windows server 2003?
I need to use the one that uses least system resources… I`m not even intrested in networking.. but I put windows server in consideration because its more stable (I guess) than xp (I`m talking about 64 bit OSes)… and because it uses less resources than Vista (still talking about 64 bit OSes)..

so, now, which of the two uses less resources? server 2003 or xp?

How to choose between windows xp and vista for my note book?

I’m buying a note book and I prefer vista. I heard that there are many problems with vista till date and so it is recommended to get XP and upgrade to vista. Is it still valid now?

If I upgrade from XP to vista, will it be a waste a hard disk space?? Will it consume too much of my hard disk space?

What is the recomended spec for my note book if i want to run vista smoothly.
