I can’t start up the laptop because it stops on the ’starting windows’ screen and the asks me to insert the Windows 2000 setup CD or floppy disk. Will a Windows XP setup disk work.

Like i mean, i know HOW but i dont know like the best places to get a domain name and i dont know alot about html, but im learning.

so if you could tell me the best places to get a domain name from and also programs like photoshop that work with Windows 2000. ok thanks bye

i have 12 computers in a domain. The dell server is running windows server 2000 and all the other computers are running windows 2k and xp. All the computers are on the network and contected just fine except for a dell running win xp. This computer was on the network until I added another computer. For some reason it says DHCP server unavailable after i realease and renew my ip address and then it goes ahead and gives me a private address (169.x.x.x). I can manually configure the tcp/ip settings and get to the network files and connect to the internet but I can’t log on to the domain. Any Ideas?

I have a musical keyboard that fits into the game port.
I installed the software that came with it, but the musical keyboard does not work. Is this a problem of configuration, or do you need to install some driver which will make the game port work?

I have many PCs running windows 2000 on the network with AD DC running windows 2000 Server, the problem is we have to logoff before we can shutdown any of the PCs.
I guess it’s from the domain group policy or something related but I tried many options and still the same.
